New Proctor Role

As an Administrator, have you ever wished that you could add student, instructor and developer roles all at once? Now you can ... and more!

All you have to do is go to the User Administration page and from the same drop down box in the Manage table, click on user roles:

After clicking on user roles, the new Course/Offering Selection page will be displayed:

From this page you may Search for the course to which you would like to add user roles. This new feature will be very useful for organizations that have many, many courses in the LearnCentrix system. Once the course name has been displayed, you may choose to add your user(s) to any role within the course or offerings.

Have you also noticed the new LearnCentrix user role - Proctor? The only function of this role, is to be able to receive information on the status of students in an offering (pass, fail, in-progress, etc.). This is accomplished by generating a new Proctor Pass/Fail Report for the Proctor when s/he clicks on the Proctor action button on the My Courses page. When the Proctor action button is clicked, the Proctor Pass/Fail Report will be displayed for that offering (as shown below). This is the only function of this new role. The Proctor will not have access to administrative functions, course material, Report Wizard or any other system reporting functions.

The new Proctor role feature will not be fully functional until December 21, 2005; however, as of December 3, 2005, you will be able to use the new Course/Offering Selection page to add multiple student, instructor and developer roles with the click of an ADD button!

If you have any questions or comments on these new features, please sign into the LearnCentrix Community and let us know how you are using them. Thank you for your comments!
